Sept 2021 part one of the month (2weeks)
Reminder-
> Each of the station's skills are "skill families" Break them down to more basic level per need of the child. We just ask that you stay within the family of the skill assigned there. Ideas for ways to alter offered in more detailed written break down of the lesson plan down below.
> Also to help you with breakdowns you might could use...if you have not done much of the previous lesson plans.... do make yourself familiar with previous lesson plans textual content, videos etc. to build your repertoire of ways to progress toward the elements presented in each new lesson plan.
Color Side- This is purposefully 4 stations (double up each station) You will have more time to get to each kid at the card station this way.
>Orange- Card work
> Blue- bridge and tick tock family
> Green- bound & Roll
> Red- Cartwheel and round offs
Details -
> Orange- Personalized card skill evaluation training
> Blue- skills working toward tick tock. use Personalized skill time in this lesson plan for back bend stuff.
> Green- Jump off beam and "bounce/Punch/bound off the board
More to come
LOTS of more details and suggestions in video especially traffic flow suggestions and skills not to perform.
Number side
LOTS of more details and suggestions in video
Details
1. Card Skill work- use this area to work on students card skills
2. Pedestals- Reminder the fingers point DOWN HILL on the palm block at top of the Pedestals. Have a tight body on the HS flat back or Flat Stomach Kits love this it is fun
3. Tuck up HS. this is one you may have to break down lower than what is shown in video. Just stay in the same family of Hip Swing up Handstands.
Alternative example. but still in family of swinging hips up first toward a Handstand. What do ya'll come up with..... send me video on basecamp?
> Velcro the FFry to wall about; say belly button high?? (ya'll experiment and let me know what is a good level)
> have the kid face away from wall. Place hands on floor in a squat.
> swing their rump up with goal to get high enough to place both feet; at same time on wall on each side of the FFry then
> squash it between the feet ....
> pluck it off the wall with feet when returning to a squat position.
> they can make it harder or easier for themselves by putting the FFry higher or lower on the wall.
4. kip to bridge.. little harder this time cause we are NOT going up hill..... but if you have new kids not done this yet you can move them to save place @ the 12" mat to learn it similar to what has been done in previous lesson plans.
5. Trampoline- here we are exploring doing two skills "in succession" in the air prior to a bounce. suggestion would be a few bounces then X shape as first skill in the air, and as legs approach closing, the kid executes a half turn as the second skill in the air, followed by a bounce..... then add one or more skills.... such as a seat drop followed by Mad Cat (doggy drop/hands knee drop) .
> those kids not yet gone thru past progressions.... work X jump bounce half turn instead.... or "seat drops etc.
> some kids likely can not YET do two things in the air prior to landing. or they will not do them in succession.. but mush the two together instead.. such as skills wants to become a spinning X jump. If they do that.... have them bounce in between.
6 Sliders. basically the family here is Core stability while in motion. Love to see what ya'll come up with. send me videos to basecamp?
