Owls/Beginner Shark Week July Part 2

Shark themed cardio, review positions, roll wrists/ankles, bridges. Ideas include big arm circles to "swim away," arms swings to "chomp," bear crawls to "walk on our flippers," tuck jumps into ocean. See video for more.

Stations:

  1. Tramp: straddle and split jumps, can add pike jumps if easy
  2. BB on knees, hold shark, tap pacman, push belly/hips into blue
  3. CW to HS drill (see video)
  4. Pedestals: straddle and pike holds, tuck holds if too hard
  5. HS with shoulders against block, open to straddle, return to lunge
  6. Spotted tick-tocks or rainbow bridges
  7. CW or RO, hands on red
  8. Hands on floor, feet together on floor, kick to straddle on red mats (see video)

Circuit: 

  1. [no tramp]
  2. Kneeling lunge stretch (see video)
  3. Standing straddle stretch
  4. Straddle circles on floor
  5. "Butcher's block" stretch (see video)
  6. BW rolls
  7. FW roll across
  8. Sideways bear crawl or hollow "crawl"

Shark themed conditioning. Ideas include flutter kicks to "swim away," V-up "chomps," plank holds over "sharky waters," Russian twists to "bail out the boat," cobra pushups to "breach." See video for more.
