Aerial Arts Performance Group Tryouts and Evaluations

Open to all current students in a Level 3 Pilots class and above.

We are looking to add talent to our performance team expanding our discipline in the performing arts related to aerial acrobatics, dance, acting, and circus arts. These attributes help make our team and program Soar!
Our performance team gets many chances to perform at events around the Dayton area to share our talents and love for performing!

Select your choice of 4 Try out dates on calendar below.
Click on the each date of your choice to register.
Limited spots for each time slot.
Each Tryout date is 2 hours.
One hour will focus on various performance aspects with the other hour spent on Aerial Apparatuses.

*PLEASE NOTE: The August 5th Try Out date will be OFF SITE. The performance team will be performing at the Franklin Community Park for National Night Out and would love to have you join and see what it is like at one of our performances!

Frequently Asked Questions

Where are these evaluations held?

All but the August 5th date will be held at Ohio Sports Academy on our Aerial Arts rig.
The August 5th location will be the Franklin Community Park during the National Night Out event.

What should we wear?

Anything that meets the dress code for Ohio Sports Academy.
- No Jewelry allowed. Only stud earrings nothing that hangs or dangles,
- legs need to be covered past the knee when learning aerial arts skills (to avoid skin getting pulled or caught in the fabric, full length or capri cut leggings are recommended! No denim, zippers, buttons.
- no crop tops or belly shirts (again to protect the skin when wrapping silks around or maneuvering hoops, trapeze etc.  
- no long acrylic nails (as they can tear the silks fabric)

How much does an evaluation cost?

Nothing! It is a free opportunity for students enrolled in a Level 3 class or higher to try our Performance Team and see if it is a good fit!
Our goal is to help school aged kids accomplish their goals in a safe and clean environment. Students will gain confidence, strength, and have fun while learning new and exciting skills.
